The truck will start but after a few seconds it will cut off like it is not getting any fuel, the guy who owned it before me straight wired the fuel pump from the front tank to the fuse box and the fuel pump runs nonstop when the ignition switch is on. I have put a new fuel filter on and im going to try reseting the inertia switch but my obd1 scan tool keeps pulling up codes saying my computer is not grounded well and air intake is up to high

First thing the fuel pump should be wired back into the relay like it's supposed to be. If it'w wired like that then it only has a fuse and not getting the correct power it should by bypassing the relay. Try grounding the pcm like it says and clean battery terminal ends and one to body and engine from battery. The pcm grounds at rear of left fender apron and with a truck that old it may not even be there
