Rough idle and shuts off?

At first no problems. After 10 minutes it will run fine until you slow down then it wants to stall out but not every time. But also, will have a rough idle and if let sit at idle it will shut off. Then it is hard to start again. But will just low idle and rough. Also notice temperature running hot but not into red zone but fans were not coming on. Any ideas?

Hi,

Oftentimes, a rough idle and stalling is caused by an engine vacuum leak. Have you checked for that as a possibility? If not, here is a link that explains how it's done:

Next, is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? If it is, then I would recommend having the computer scanned for codes. If you don't have a scan tool, most parts stores will do it for you free of charge.

As far as the fans, let's focus first on the idle issues.
