After replacing the ignition barrel the stop light is flashing and it will not start?

I changed the ignition barrel because the key was jamming in the lock. Now I have the stop light flashing will turn over but won't start. The car doesn't have central locking. All manual keys. I've checked all the wiring and fuses and the old barrel but it's still the same. Help, thanks.

Can I ask if you have a security light flashing when you try to start the car? If so, then the ignition key needs to be programmed to the car. You can have a mobile locksmith come out to do the job/program the ignition key it should cost about $220.00.
