Good day. I’ve had another engine installed same as old now most times it takes 3-4 turns before starting. Yes, check engine light is on but runs beautiful once running with light still on. Every now and then the light turns off but on more times than most.
Bought an OBD2 scanner/reader to see what’s going on and when plugged in it powers up but won’t connect.

Help please

Hi,

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

The idea that you have a delayed start leads me to think it is a fuel pressure issue. I want you to try something.

1) Turn the key from off to the run position (engine off) and count to 5.

2) Turn the key off and repeat step 1 three more times.

3) Then, see if it starts normally.

If it does, then you either have an issue with the fuel pressure dropping off or the fuel pump is weak. Here is a link that explains how to test fuel pressure:

Let me know what happens when you try this.

Take care,

Joe
