Quick way to get to the starter motor other than an engine hoist usage.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is a tutorial showing how to replace a starter motor assembly:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-starter-motor

It didn't say anything in our guides about have to use a hoist or raise the engine up to gain access. I've attached a picture step below showing starter motor replacement on your truck. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

There is no need for a hoist at all. You can access it without lifting the motor.

It is tight by design and there is no easy fast way to get it out and in.

Make sure you remove everything blocking access to make it easier for removal.

Danny attached the procedure. It looks simple but doing it is different.

The labor for the procedure is only 1 hour.
