The starter will intermittently not engage. Usually, but not always
when engine has been shut off for a short period.
Starter, battery-starter cable and immobilizer switch and battery
have been replaced. Hooking up booster battery somehow seems to help allow starter to engage.
There is not a left in the starter circuit where the problem could be, starter cut relay?

You replaced the power side cable, did you check the ground side as well? a power issue is the problem if the jump pack helps, it boosts the voltage enough to overcome the poor connection. To check this use a regular jumper cable to connect from battery negative and then to the starter. If the problem stops it is the ground from the battery to the engine, if it is still there check the ground from the engine to the body the same way.
