On third one added heat shield on starter no help. Dealership says replace wiring harness, but it seems to have no connection with starter. Any suggestion or have encountered this problem before?

Hello my name is Dave.

The most common cause of any electrical is the ground and I strongly suspect that this could be your issue, if there is a our ground connection this could easily burn your starter up as described. My suggestion would be to test the continuity of the ground cable between the battery to the starter housing. I have attached a link to our tutorial on testing wiring and the test will also work in this case. Instead of an actual wire I would test continuity from the the battery to the starter housing and check the connection of the battery cable to the engine. I hope this helps you find your solution and if it doesn't please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you further trouble shoot the problem and thank you for using 2CarPros.
