The car make a squeaky sound when I push down on the gas. It is from the pedal itself. When I do not drive it for a while the noise goes away but after pushing on the gas for ten miles or so the pedal becomes squeaky. Can I spray some WD40 some where on the pedal as if it were a door or must I do something else?

Hello,

It sounds like the throttle pedal sensor needs to be lubricated. To be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Here is what the sensor looks like so you can use some WD40 on it.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

I will shoot a video, but in the meantime can you please tell me where exactly to spray the WD40? I do not know if I have to remove something first or spray it right on the pedal itself? Thanks in advance.
