Our 2007 mountaineer squeaks in the rear wheels without application of the brakes. When the brakes are applied the squeaking stops. The noise usually occurs after the vehicle has been driven for a while. Can not find anything loose and dealer could not either.

It's probably the brake kpad squealers that are installed on the truck if it has disc brakes in rear. Have a pro check yor rear bakes and it may be time for a brake job. They are on all disc brakes now to warn of brake pad wear
