So we exchanged the transmission with a rebuilt, and customer states speedometer was reading normal. Now it's reading extremely high. ABS light is on. Disconnected what Alex believes is VSS on top rear differential and speedometer still reads same. So at around 20-25 mph speedometer reads 90. Where does the instrument cluster get its speedometer signal from, right front wheel speed sensor, left front, or rear differential. Already tried a couple of differential oss on the transmission, although he doesn't think the speedometer gets a signal from there because it would differ as transmission shifts. As always I appreciate your time and knowledge, V

Sorry for the delay. I was doing my normal job so I just saw this but I imagine some of the other guys are on vacation.

The speedometer on this vehicle is run from the PCM. The PCM sends the signal directly to the speedometer. The PCM gets the vehicle speed from the output speed sensor.

I attached all the testing needed for this. The first is the testing for the cluster and the next is the testing for the OSS.

Let us know what you find with this testing and we can go from there. Thanks

Haha. We pushed our beach trip until September.

Keep us updated on what they find however, I suspect they will turn up the issue with this info. Thanks again.
