My speedometer does not work. I put new speed sensor in and stub motor on the instrument cluster. Everything else works except the speedometer. It jumps a little bit at startup but nothing while driving. Fuses are all good but my cruise control isn't working either. Could anyone please help me solve this problem? It is too expensive to guess fix.

Good morning,

Does the odometer work?

If it does, it is internal in the dash. The cluster will have to be removed and repaired.

If it does not, then you need to see if there is a signal coming from the vehicle speed sensor. You will need a scan tool to see if there is a signal.

Once the speedometer is repaired, the cruise will come back on line.

It sounds like the cluster has gone bad and needs to be replaced with a rebuilt or used unit. here is a video of the job being done on a similar car:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

I figured it out this morning. I didn't solder the pins good enough and it came loose. So I resoldered it and it works like a charm. Thank you for replying back.
