Hi,

Please understand, this vehicle wasn't offered in the US in 2014, so I have no reference for the vehicle. However, I will try my best to help. Additionally, there is usually an input and output speed sensor along with wheel speed sensors. I'm not sure which you are referring to.

The newest XL7 I have information for is a 2008. I attached the parts prices for that vehicle below. Note that the prices are for original equipment parts and are expensive.

On most vehicles, the sensors are installed on the exterior of the transmission. If that is the case, suspect less than 1 hour of labor. If they are internal, that can increase up to approximately 3 hours or more. I'm not sure where you are located or what the average cost for labor is, but that should put you in the ballpark as far as cost.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pic below. Again, note that the part prices below are for a 2008. The prices will likely be a little different for a 2014.

I wasn't sure of the year. I've been having medical issues for the last 3 years and the "medications" have taken a toll on my memory. But your input has been most helpful.

Hi,

First, I hope you are okay. Our health is the most important thing we have. As far as the model year, if you let me know what it is, it could be something I will have information on it.

Let me know.

Take good care of yourself.

Joe

I am in an Assisted Care facility and can't get to my car. So, it will be a while. Also, before the speed sensor stopped working, my gas gauge was reading full when it was only 3/4 full. It happened to my wife's car, which I purchased at the same time. Her sensor remained operating. She traded her Suzuki for a Toyota. Thanks for your concern, I am trying to get better but different things erupt and are a mystery to me and the doctors.
