To begin with my car is overheating. I got a diagnostic that said my catalytic converter needed some TLC, but the mechanic insisted I needed a new thermostat so I replaced my thermostat. Then my radiator had a broken nipple so I replaced that as well, I also had my oil changed all of that was in February. It seemed that everything was going smoothly until my oil light came on and then my battery light and then my car was overheating, so I pulled over. Checked the dip stick and there is zero oil in my car. So I put in oil. I drove about 12 blocks and the power and lights on my dash went out. The needles for the gas and thermometer went to E and C my radio stopped working my windshield wipers stopped working its like my battery died while I was driving except my head lights were on, the overhead light worked my heated seats work the electric mechanisms to move my seats work, my windows roll up and down. I am so confused. Please help. This all happened within minutes there was no warning before hand that I would have recognized.

Hello,

This could be a problem with ground #503, which is located behind the glove box. Make sure that this ground is clean, corrosion free, tight, and making good metal to metal contact. It is a common ground for all the circuits that were describing in your question. I have included a complete set of Ground Distribution Wiring Diagrams in the diagrams down below for you. I have highlighted ground #503 for you as well. I have also included a diagram of the grounds location for you, as well. Please check out the ground and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
