I bought the car listed above. The check engine light is on. Took it to smog guy he said on the scanner it needed the Idle Air Control Valve, so I bought and put it on but it still says the system is bad and the idle goes up and down. Now it says on the scanner, I need the torque converter clutch solenoid circuit is out, now on the scanner I have nine things wrong and it is misfiring on five of the six cylinders. I am not sure what condenser is on the spark plug? I was told that two of the front condensers are bad and I will need to replace them. All I want to do is pull my hair out because this car has done nothing but cause me to spend more money on it. I have only had it a month. I have bought wipers, brakes, headlight, IVC valve and it still runs terrible! Help please!

Hello, I am Danny.

Yes, if the check engine light is on your car cannot be tested for a smog check until all repairs are made and the check engine lights stays off. If you get back to us with the check engine light codes we will be happy to help diagnose the codes. If you do not have access to a code reader/scanner your local auto parts stores have a tool loaner program and will rent you one. I have attached a tutorial for you to view showing what is involved.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yes, I replaced the Idle air control valve, but the code reader says the idle air control system, torque converter clutch circuit solenoid, wheel speed sensor, and multiple misfire in all cylinders. Help!
