Both driver and passenger power windows still work, but they are extremely slow to go up and down?

I haven't done any diagnostics yet, but am wondering if there is a "known" culprit for this issue, or if it's random? I've done some research, and some people are saying regulator and/or motor replacement, some are saying it's power and to put a new window harness in. Any thoughts?

Hi,

Both are possibilities. You can check if there is a power-related issue with a multimeter or a voltmeter.

At the motor, you should be getting 12v. If that is the case, before replacing anything, try cleaning and lubricating all moving parts to make sure there just isn't too much resistance.

Let me know what you find or if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe

I took the door panel off but couldn't see a good way to get to the motor. I cleaned up and lubricated the moving parts and that helped a lot. I think I will run it for a while before I decide to start taking window components out. Thanks!
