Bought this car where the tires had close to 20% tread left. Car drove excellent with zero issues, no codes under engine, transfer or transmission. Ordered a set of tires, they got me 2 wrong tires, and 2 right ones, so I sent my son to install the 2 front ones till I get replacement on the other 2. He said the skipping started then, received the right 2 tires and installed them and drove it and yes it feels as if there is a minor coil misfire while driving for split a second. I thought maybe one of the coils has oil on it from a. Bad valve cover gasket, but none was there, scanned it and saw several codes related to imbalance. Torque between front and rear axles, I knew then it could be due to having 2 new and 2 old tires since this is an AWD vehicle. So I just deleted the codes to see if this skip is gonna go away, it is super cold out there today for me to go dive it yet, but you believe this could be the reason why this happened?

Yep, on these cars the tires must be the same size or you will have this problem. I would get the other two tires replaced with the same size and the problem should go away. Please let us know what happens.
