Hi,

The first thing you should do is have the computer scanned to identify diagnostic trouble codes. It sounds like it is in limp mode. Here is a video showing how it's done:

https://youtu.be/YV3TRZwer8k

If the vehicle is still drivable, most parts stores will do this for you free of charge. If it isn't, see if there are any parts stores near you that will lend one to you. Let me know what codes are found.

This really needs to be done because otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you for your response. It is drivable but needs a jump st start. They way they hooked the radio up it drains my battery. I will get a jump and take it down in the next few days.

Hi,

Let me know what is found. Also, keep in mind that low battery voltage can cause problems with modules/computers in the vehicle. Make sure the alternator is doing its job. Here is a link to help test it:

Once you get it running, check the output from the alternator to make sure it is good. That could be the entire problem.

Take care,

Joe

You are very welcome. It's crazy what low voltage can cause. Let me know if you have other questions.

I have to ask you a question. Your user name is basically spelled the same as my last name minus the LG88. In their place, I have ni. By chance, is that your last name? I ask because I've never met anyone in the US with the same last name as mine and I lived here my entire life. LOL

Sorry for the crazy question. If you are uncomfortable answering it, I totally understand.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear you got it going again. Please feel free to come back anytime in the future if you have questions or need help. You are always welcome here.

Take care,

Joe
