I replaced the valve body because it was barely shifting from second to third and third to fourth. So now it will not go in any gear. Tried adding transmission fluid. Checked the wires. Do not know what else to check. Help. What do I need to do? Have vacuum. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I would reinstall the old valve body and replace the input shaft speeds sensor. Here is a diagram so you can see which sensor it is:

1 - Automatic transmission control module -J217-
Control modules are checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
2 - Engine control module
3 - Data Link Connector (DLC)
4 - Conductor strip with transmission fluid temperature sensor -G93-
-G93- is checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
5 - Valve body
The solenoid valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90-, -N91-, -N92-, -N93- and -N94- are attached to the valve body
Components are checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
6 - Multi-function Transmission Range (TR) switch -F125-
Checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
7 - Sensor for transmission RPM -G182-
Records the transmission input speed
Checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
8 - Transmission vehicle speed sensor -G38-
Records the transmission output speed
Checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
9 - Tiptronic switch -F189-
Location: The Tiptronic switch is integrated in the printed circuit for the symbol insert in the cover on the selector mechanism.
Is only installed in shift mechanisms with tiptronic function.
It consists of 3 Hall sensors, actuated by magnets.
The switch can be checked in read measured value block and in the electrical check
If the switch malfunctions the gear selector symbol insert with integral printed circuit must be replaced
10 - Shift lock solenoid -N110-
Can be checked electrically and via reading measured value block
11 - Throttle Position Sensor-G69-
The throttle position signal is transmitted to the transmission control module via the engine control module. The signal can only be checked in measured value block. If the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) indicates a fault in the throttle position sensor, also perform a On Board Diagnostic (OBD) for the engine control module.
12 - Cruise control switch -E45-
Can be checked in the electrical check
13 - Starting interlock relay -J207-
14 - Transmission Range (TR) selector lever display -Y6-
If all segments of selector lever position indicator light up together or
Selector lever position indicator does not light up indicate that the transmission is in emergency running mode
15 - Kickdown switch -F8-
Can be checked electrically and via reading measured value block
When removing and installing kickdown switch, remove and install the accelerator pedal cable, and adjust afterward
Adjusting throttle cable
16 - Brake light switch -F-

We should also run the codes to see what comes up.
