Shifter tower

I have a manual transmission in my ford explorer we just had to pull the transmission out to replace the clutch but now we cant figure out how the shifter tower is supposed to go back in we thought it was in but it wouldnt shift through any of the gears I just need to know how to reinstall the shifter tower

Did you get the shifter bolted back in and it doesnt work? You will need to make sure the shifter locator ball is in the receiver cup in the transmission

We got it back in but for some reason it wont shift into any of the gears its stuck in neutral

It sounds like the clutch was not installed correctly, or the pilot bearing is seized.
