Battery has to be connected to move to park to remove key. It may be a broken cable disconnect at trans and see if it will move to park if it does problem either in shift interlock or cable.

Cannot get it out of reverse battery connected or not. There is no cable on this transmission. It feels like Interlock from switch may have come off or jammed so way. Not sure how to check it without pulling steering wheel. Do not have a steering wheel puller.

The shift interlock solenoid is below steering column mounting bracket so wheel does not need to be removed. There is also a relay that may not be working see picture.

Located and tested solenoid, tested good. Cannot located relay, schematic says Left side of I/P, what does I/P seand for. Still can not turn key, only run and start position. Kept fooling with shift lever, now in "Park" position and stays there, cannot move it to anyother position. Great information so far. Thanks
