Shakes and turns off

Driving slow in traffic or sitting at a ttaffic light after a few minutes, my car will shake violently and turn off. I have seen a mechanic that firstly cleaned the throttle body and secondly, $390.00 later, replaced the air flow meter. But it is still happening! Any suggestions?

After cleaning the throttle body. Were the symptoms exactly similar or were there any improvement/deterioration? Were the spark plugs checked replaced?
Is the check engine light indicating when engine is running and was vehicle scanned for trouble codes? After stalling, were you able to restart easily? Is the mileage you submitted correct, 945,000 miles? At this mileage was anything done prior to this occurring?
