Several misfire codes?

When I start it up no misfire but there is a noise. I scanned it and came back with these codes
140402
140302
140002
140410
140310
140010
140402
140110
I am not aware of an EGR on these cars and there is no way these are ignition coils as it is pointing to all cylinders.

Can you upload a short video of the noise? Does the engine have a mechanical issue? These cars had problems with the turbo at about 100k. If the turbo falls apart it will affect all cylinders as the exhaust leaks into the intake. Is this the noise you hear? I would remove the intake or exhaust side to check the turbo endplay. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

How would the exhaust leak into the intake? Am not getting that point.

And I am familiar with turbo issues on these. It's not the turbo for sure. I'll see if I can make a video.

One of the hoses under the plastic cover was connected via some type of glue but I will fix that. I thibk it maybe part of the pcv. But I think the noise is coming from the high pressure fuel pump. When I disconnect the harness noise is almost completely gone. Took several videos. Hope these help. No pressure when removing oil cap so PCV system is okay. Since all cylinders misfiring I think it could be related to the hpfp even though I didnt see any codes to it. Last video is the most helpful.

Yep, if a turbo falls apart it can allow an intake leak because the main shaft is not sealed anymore, but I can say this is not your problem after checking the videos. The noise it is making seems more like the high-pressure fuel pump or the camshaft lobe that drives it might be bad; Lets remove the pump for inspection.

The lobe looks good and spins freely with no play. I ordered a pump.

It didn't solve it. I can now heat what sounds like a blow off, but cant pinpoint it by hand, I tried to lay my hand around the exhaust to see if there is any air coming out but it's a bit hard to do so. Is there a test I can do similar to what is done with smoke tests for vacuum leaks that I can do to check for an exhaust leak? I have never seen a turbo or an exhaust leak on these cars in all the years I have worked on BMWs.

Oh man, that is strange noise, can it be a head gasket leaking externally or valve train noise? I have never heard that noise and have it not be the fuel pump.

No loss of coolant. No bubbly expansion tank. No smoke. No overheating. I would think its valve train but why would the noise go away almost completely with an unplugged fuel pump.

I would recheck the camshaft lobe. Does the noise sounds like it is coming from the front of the engine? It could be timing chain or guide issues.

That just leaves the valve train, I would remove the valve cover and do an inspection.
