Welcome to 2CarPros.

Can you describe what you hear? Also, behind the cover is the timing chain. I attached an exploded view of the chains and timing components. If there is a loose chain, you may hear it and it could cause the code you indicated.

When looking at the picture, you will see each thing is numbered. Here is a legend of what each component is:

1. Left Secondary Timing Chain Tensioner
2. Left Secondary Timing Chain Shoe
3. Left Secondary Timing Chain
4. Left Intake Camshaft Sprocket Timing Mark
5. Left Exhaust Camshaft Sprocket Timing Mark
6. Left Secondary Timing Chain Guide
7. Intermediate Sprocket Timing Mark
8. Primary Timing Chain Guide
9. Crankshaft Sprocket Pin Alignment Slot
10. Primary Timing Chain
11. Crankshaft Sprocket Timing Mark
12. Primary Timing Chain Tensioner
13. Right Secondary Timing Chain Tensioner
14. Right Secondary Timing Chain Shoe
15. Right Exhaust Camshaft Sprocket Timing Mark
16. Right Intake Camshaft Sprocket Timing Mark
17. Right Secondary Timing Chain
18. Right Secondary Timing Chain Guide

Honestly, if you could upload the noise so I can hear it, I may be able to tell. I would hate to say remove and replace the chain, guides and so on only to find the water pump was making noise.

Let me know what you are hearing. I will watch for your reply.

Joe
