Serpentine belt replacement instructions needed

Hi,

There are two different 2.0L engine possibilities. One is a single overhead cam the other is a dual overhead cam. I will provide directions for both.

Single Overhead Cam

2000 Ford Focus L4-2.0L SOHC VIN P
2.0L SPI
Vehicle Engine, Cooling and Exhaust Engine Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories Drive Belt Service and Repair Procedures Drive Belt 2.0L SPI
2.0L SPI
Accessory Drive Belt - 2.0L SPI

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt splash shield.

See pic 1

3. Lower the vehicle.

4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
- Using a 3/8 inch square drive breaker bar in the hole provided, rotate the tensioner clockwise.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Note: Pic 3 shows belt routing with AC and pic 4 is without AC.

Removal

2. Remove the splash shield.

- Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
