Selector shaft seal replacement

I have removed almost everything but I cannot get the selector shaft lever off to replace the damaged seal. Any suggestions welcome? Thanks

We do not have a Fusion in US in 2004 here is one off of a focus, you will need to remove the handle unplug electrical for the switch then unbolt switch to reach the seal. See picture.
