Car was taken to a collision shop after an accident with severe damage to the suspension. Axle was fully replaced, as well as the transmission mount. Now, about three times out of 10, my car makes a single popping noise when making a hard turn. It sounds exactly like I'm driving over a rock and it's hitting the underbelly of my vehicle. My question is this, this collision shop already had my car for 3 months, and I had to take it back again (that's when they replaced the transmission mount, the second time I brought it back). I'm thinking about having a mechanic who is not connected to this shop look at my vehicle to check their work basically. If they find anything related to the repairs that were done, then I will take it back. Is this a good approach? Or should I just take it back? I'm a little wary because I don't really trust them now.

Good morning,

I am concerned that the cradle bushings may be the issue. With the extent of the damage in your picture, this could be the issue.

Yes, have a second opinion and see what they find. It may be actually a simple issue. It sounds like the body shop is frustrated with the job and you as well.
