Never had a crash. The problem began after I took a hole in the street and two tires were deflated.
That's it. After that, I could not use those two seatbelts and the airbag warning light was still on. I want to know if after I buy and install the seat belts, I can reset or clear the codes in the airbag module and how?

Hello,

Since this vehicle is 2022, this is under factory warranty.
I would suggest taking this to your local dealer and having them do the repair. As this type of issue will require them to diagnose the cause and fix. It could be due to bad belt tensioner, wiring issue or module.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

Hi Sean, thank you very much for trying to help me. I took this to my local dealer, and they made the diagnostic procedure and gave me the report. They said that this work is not covered by the warranty because of this type of accident (big hole in the street). The report says that I must replace both seat belts tensioner and a new airbag module. The whole work costs $2,500.00 including parts and labor. If I buy the parts on my own both seatbelts new and original (Acura OEM) will cost me just $260.00 and the job of replacement is very easy and I could do it. I only need to reset or clear the codes from the airbag module. I have heard that some scanners can read the codes and clear them on my car. Do you know about any scanner that can do that, and which is the brand and model? Thank you very much in advance.

Did the shop give you the list of parts that it will need?
As there is pretensioner on the belt that is what triggers the light. Do the $260 cost include the pretensioner with the belt?

There are several scan tools capable of retrieving airbag code and clearing the codes. Innova has a good one model# 3100RS

However, since this is a 2022 vehicle you might want to call the tech line and make sure it will communicate with your vehicle.

As for the replacement procedure Alldata does not have instructions for the 2022 give that info has not been released by the manufacturer yet.

Hi Sean, thank you again for your interest. Yes, the shop gave me the list of parts that it will need and gave me a multipoint inspection report. And the $260.00 cost includes both pretensioners and those pretensioners includes the belts (pretensioner and the belt are a complete piece). That price includes exactly the two parts numbers that are in the parts list the shop gave me. The inspection report that the shop gave me says:
The scanner read two codes.. Left rear seatbelt tensioner deployed. 2. Right rear seat belt tensioner deployed.
The technician recommends replacement of both seat belt tensioners.
The technician says too that all those things deserve replacement of the airbag module (computer) to fix the problem.
Thank you very much for the information about the scan tools. Tomorrow I will call the tech line to verify the information.
Thank you very much for your help, Sean.
