Hi my 2002 acura mdx srs light is on. Does that mean my airbags will not deploy? The previous owner has had it for a few years and never corrected the problem.

Yes, when the SRS indicator light is illuminated, the SRS system has been disabled.

You need to check what is wrong and rectify it for the system to work.

The airbags will not deploy

I know the feeling when its On, Best thing to do is have it scanned for code/s to identify what's causing the light to come on with a Honda PGM tester

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
