Key fob broke and I tried starting with just the piece of key that was left in ignition... (Anti-theft kicked in) car refused to start... After repairing key and fob, I jumped paper clip in pin 5 and 13 as well as reprogrammed key (security turns off when key is inserted). Car started one time... Ran into store, came out, car started again... Since then it will not start.

The first time it was in anti-theft mode, when the key was turned car would only crank for a second and immediately everything would shut down.

This time when the key is turned car continues cranking but there is no spark.

Any idea what I can do to get it started?

Looks like we need to try a couple other things first.

Here is a guide that may help with this so let's run through this and if it doesn't then we can take the next steps:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-reset-a-security-system

If it doesn't work, then we need to scan for codes because that will tell us what the issue is and how to repair it.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

Below is the list of possible codes. There are more but I expect we will have one of these.

Let's start with this and go from there. Thanks
