1998 Saturn SL2 Seems like AC port wont accept charge from

Seems like the compressor works fine etc. And Im just trying to charge the system with canned gas. Is there a better way or do I just need to sit there and press the button down for longer than 4 minutes. Thanks

Hi there,

If the system has a leak and you are trying to fill it, there may be to much air in the low pressure side and the refrigerant will not enter, what you should have done is get the system vacuumed down and check for leaks, (if leaks the system will not hold a vacuum at all) then the correct weight of refrigerant can be added, just remember with can re fills you can't get an accurate measure into the system and you can over fill and have problems as well.
