Depends on ur weather if u have alot of snow and they salt it down and it gets in ur rear brakes then I would change them. But if u have nice dry weather like california then I would just replace the shoes and inspect the springs and hardware kit and when in doubt just change them there pretty cheap. Make sure u check ur rear wheel cylinders they leak often on that yr range u have. Pull back the rear dust boot cover if fluid comes out change both of them. If u change them make sure u get four new copper crush washers for the brake lines or u will have brake fluid leaking out. Let me know how it goes.
