Why would only one rotor have grooves in it and make a grinding noise when I brake

Nothing to stress about u could have picked up something while driving and it got trapped between the rotor and pad. Also ur pads have metal in them and sometimes have hard spots also the chunks of metal cause grooves and grinding sounds. Also if u use the cheaper pads they really make alot noise.I recommend the factory pads or the Wagner premium pad I have the Wagner premium pads on my Saturn and there pretty quite wagner makes the factory pads also. Another thing that causes break noise is glazed rotors they should be turn every time u replace ur pads. Meaning they need to be refinshed and that also takes the warp out of them and makes them true. Make sure u inspect ur brakes both fronts. Also keeping ur rear brakes adjusted up helps prevent ur front brakes from making noise and helps to keep the rotors from warping and pads from wearing so fast. Also if u use cheap rear brakes the crack and don't stay in adjustment very long because they wear so quickly. Let me know if u have anymore questions.
