I have a 1995 Saturn Twin Cam. When ever I go past 3 Rpm and try to stop, it stalls. For example, If I speed up to 3 Rpm, then there is a stop light and I start to slow down, my Rpm meter drops all the way to zero and it stalls. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be. Please help.

Thank you.

I posted this to Yahoo! Answers:

1995 Saturn SL2, 1.9 L Engine (4 Cylinder), 68,000 miles. Stalls periodically when idling. When at a stop light or idling, the car's RPM drops below 1,000 and fluctuates between 300 RPM and 800 RPM before it eventually stalls. It only happens periodically, but this is my grandmother's car and she has trouble keeping calm and restarting the car amongst traffic. She has taken the car to the dealership/mechanic, but no one can figure out the problem. Like I said, it has a little less than 68,000 miles with the 1.9 L 4 cylinder engine. Transmission is automatic, if that matters. It is a 1995 Saturn SL2 4 door.

I have had no replies. This is my grandmother's car, she drives it very carefully. Are you saying that everytime you past 3000 RPMs and slow to a stop, it stalls?
