Brakes problem
1994 Saturn SL2 4 cyl Automatic 200000 miles

my car is old and I know it will die soon but for the mean time, my brakes have just gone out. I check all my fluids twice a week depending on how much I drive and there was plenty of brake fluid. However on my way to school this morning the brake pedal felt like it slammed all the way to the ground b4 I even got out of 5th gear. All the fluid that was there yesterday is now gone. But im not leaking anything. Just filled it back up and when I hit the brakes, not only does it still go to the ground and do nothing but the fluid in the container doesnt fluxuate as I tap the brakes. Should I bleed them then see if it still happens or what? Im a chick by the way lol

The first thing I would worry about is where did all ur fluid go?That should be ur biggest concern if u bleed the brakes that even worked which I doubt that would work u still have a leak a dangerous situation with a brake fluid leak. Look for ur leak.I would check everywhere ur brake lines go front calipers hoses rear wheel cyclinders common place to leak if u have them most likely u do pull the rear wheel cylinder dust boots back if there is fluid behind the boot or all over ur rear shoes u will have replace both wheel cylinders and if the brakes are wet the brakes too. Another place to look and wouldnt see a leak is behind ur master cylinder the thing u put fluid in. Theres two 15mm nuts that attach it to the brake booster take the nuts off and pull the master cylinder foward look behind it if theres fluid then u need a new master cylinder and booster. Let me know what u find.
