1999 Saturn SL1 high RPM's

When starting, engine rev's to 3000 rpm's for a few seconds and then drops back to normal range

I have a Saturn SL1 2001 and it has done the same. It would rev up to 3000 or more rpm's then go back down, even while idling. We had the idle speed motor replaced and the coolant temp sensor. That seemed to take care of the problem. There was also another sensor which I can't remember the name. That may have been a part of it too. The Saturn dealership should be able to help with it.
