1991 Saturn SL1 Car thumped backing out of driveway

1991 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Automatic 130K miles

I just had my motor mount replaced on my car. Since then, I've heard a whistling sound under the hood. For the last two days, while backing out of the driveway my car has thumped after a few feet. It feels like it's coming from the rear of the car. It drives fine once out of the driveway but the thump was worse today. Any idea what the thump is? Are the two items related? The car runs great other than this thump.

Hi there,

Thank you for there donation.

This may be a case of miss alignment with the new mounts fitted, take it back to who did the job and ask them to back off the mounting bolts and take it for a short drive then re tighten them, this often settles the engine & trans back into its normal position, start here.
