dpress the clutcj and the engine does not crank, battery is charged. Pin on clutch going into cable fell out, put bsck in but still no crank with clutch pushed down

Correction 2000 saturn. I usd a jumper wire on switch wire that had power to it, still does not turn over. I tested the connection to the switch which had power so I used a jumper wire still the motor does not turn over, I am guessing a ground wire on starter or starter is bad. I really wanna thank you for your help
