Will not start

I can put the key in but it will not turn, its happened a couple of times before but just starts working again 2000 saturn ls1

Does it not crank or does it crank and not fire up?

Thank you for your response, actually the key will not turn and I've tried it in nuteral and I've jiggled the steering wheel and still the key will not turn

Is the theft light on?

Also are you trying to use a key that is not coded by the dealer?

Try using some graphite lock lubricant sprayed into the cylinder and on the key, does that help it turn?

Put more pressure when turning the wheel left when turning hte key, or put more pressure when turning the wheel right, takes some effort.

Another cause could be a damaged key, try using your spare, if neither of those work and you have done all the aboe it is time to replace the ignition cylinder.
