Jan the car starting slamming into gear when put into "drive" then again when shifting gears to 2nd and 3rd after that it was fine. I took it to a shop and they put it on the computer where nothing came up so I was sent packing. I took it somewhere else, where they replaced the engine mounts, that had broken and replaced the shift solenoid and gasket, by Feb I was back with the same problem, they replaced the wire harness connector, a week later I was back, they replaced the wires that they said had been corroded and should have been changed but weren't (no charge) Last month the car started doing the same thing again but faintly AND now the car is overheating, the fan appears to not be working, don't know if the two are related. What is causing the car to shift this way, if not the things they already fixed? And do you think the fan issue is related in any way?
Thanks :(

If the shift solenoids werte replaced and the mounts as well, might be time to take it to a TRANS shop. Someone more familiar with trans issues. The cooling fan doesnt share any electrical with the trans, look to see if maybe a connector fell off or is not getting good contact
