Last night all was well with the car. This morning, neither directional is working. No noise, no lights, no nothing when I flip the arm up or down.

Is it possible this is something like a fuse that I could check and maybe fix myself? I am new to this state and have not yet found a mechanic I like and trust!

Should I just take it to a Saturn service shop? Look around for another local shop??

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Electrical in nature but it could be and number of sensors, relays, etc. They are right that it needs to be diagnosed when the problem occurs. Sorry but I don't want you to start feeding the parts suppliers by buying things you don't need.

Thanks for your answer. I guess I'll just have to keep driving it until it dies every time out.
