2002 Other Saturn Models service engine soon light

My SES light came on a couple of days ago and I got out and found the gas cap was off of the tank fill. I never noticed the engine running differently. I got out and put it back on and the light is still on. How long does it take to clear?

On my 98 SC-1, a quick way to delete is unplug the battery at least 10 sec. but be careful with a anti-theft radio. Refer to your owners manual for taking care of this.
