2001 Other Saturn Models
----------------------------------------------------------------
The ignition on my car is locked now it has done this a couple of times in the past but I can always get the key to turn after a few tries….

I have tried so many times that I actually have a blister on my finger

I have tried turning the wheel either way as far as it can go and shimming it to no avail

[quote:3b7caa65c5="cmierzejewski"]2001 Other Saturn Models This appears to be the same problem my daughter experienced. Because she had so many things hanging from her key chain, the key wore out inhibiting it from depressing the tumblers to allow ignition switch to operate freely. What you need to do is contact a Saturn dealer to get the key code based on VIN for for your car. You would then take code to a certified locksmith to produce a new key. Just making a new one from your exisiting key would not work because it is so extremely worn. It seems the quality of metal used to make the original keys caused them to wear out quickly.
