2000 Other Saturn Models key won't turn

It is hard to turn the key in the ignition. It won't turn anymore, or without trying to turn it about 50 times. I insert the key, try to turn or crank it on, and I meet resistance. I keep trying, but I get real lucky if it ever turns. If it does turn on, it cranks and works fine. This just started a week ago, and now I can't seem to ever get it to turn the key so I can start.

What gives?

You can try another key to see if it helps, but I have seen quite a few saturn ignition lock cylinders go bad.
