when I shift my 1999 Saturn into reverse it shifts very hard making a loud noise. Also upon pressing on the gas and driveing it shifts hard then it rides fine. However every time I come to a complete hault and start back driving it shifts very hard. What is wrong with my car?

Most of the time when you have a hard up shift in every gear it mean's you have too high of line pressure. First thing you need to do is go to a auto part's store like auto zone and have them read your code's. If you have any write them down and bring me back the code number's.
