1998 SL1 Saturn - loud idling?

Recently noticed my saturn was idling loud. Seemed to be better when placed in neutral at a stop light etc.

Brought it in and they did $500 worth of stuff on it - a bunch of diagnostics transmission flush and replaced a bunch of plugs and stuff. It actually idles more now than when we dropped it off with them and when I paralell parked the other day it shook really hard when I turned the wheel like it was going to stall but it did not. The idling seems so loud at times. But I don't know why it is doing this and how to diagnose what is going on.

I am sure this is unrelated but sometimes my fluids light flashes on and off (the windsheild wiper and other one) and then it goes away.

any thoughts.
