Transmission problem
1994 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 210K miles

I have replaced the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder with a new prebled kit in my 1994 Saturn SL1. It still drives OK for a mile or so and then when I stop it will not go into any gear. I have to shut off the engine and put it into first gear and restart the engine before I can get the car moving. When the engine is started the car jumps like the clutch is intermittently catching. Once the car is moving I can get it into the higher gears. When the car sits overnight it will do the same sequence. What is causing this problem? I would like to be sure before I change the mechanical clutch parts since this requires pulling the engine and transmission on this car.
Thanks for your help.

If you have changed the hydraulics, and they are good, (good pedal feel) then it may have a broken part in the clutch to work intermittently like that. But I must say at 210k if that is the original you sure got your moneys worth.
