1993 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 337K miles
I just replaced my alternator, (in a 1993 Saturn SL1)before I did the battery light did not come on and stay on (only came on upon start up and then go right out light the other check lights). About a month after replacing the alternatior the battery light now comes on and stays on when the RPM's are over 1000 RPM. I don't have any issue with battery power, I live in a cold climate and have many cold morning starts and no problem at all. The light will dim a bit when the turn signal is used etc. There does not seem to be any performance issues with the vehicle - just that darn light. What could be causuing the light to remain on.
