SC1 with a SOHC. Just changed the oxygen sensor. Plugs, wires, fuel filter, and pvc valve appx 6 months ago. When you feather the gas quickly 2 or 3 times the rpm's drop very low, the car sputters and shakes then returns to idle speed. If you rev the car up, lots of black carbon spews out of the tail pipe and leaves black marks on the ground. Car seems to lag power under 2500 RPM. If you put it to the floor, car lags until 2500 RPM, once you hit that thresh hold it takes off and you feel a surge of power.

My 1994 sl2 has similar problems, I idle just fine, actually great but feathering the gas it sounds like it wants to die, like i'm out of fuel, I also have no power under 2500ish rpm, basically have to floor it all the time, i'm talked with several shops and even went to the dealer, they say its the trans going, don't know if that helps you at all, but atleast ya know your not alone.
