Left my car running till it ran out of gas and killed the battery and now after adding gas and recharging the battery the car won't turn over and start. Suggestions? We now can hear the whine of the injector, but it won't turn ove.

U probably have a bad battery ur battery was probably weak and u let it so drained that it won't hold enough power to start ur car. Have u tried jump starting ur car it might not even jump start if the battery is that bad. Start with that but get ur battery tested also make sure ur cables are clean and tight. Also donations and feedback greatly appreachiated.

Is it trying to start or are you just getting a click? If it's trying to start, you will need to cycle the key from off to on WITHOUT CRANKING several times. This will get fuel pressure built back up in the system and help the engine start. If this doesn't work, follow previous poster's response by checking battery and cables.

Turned out to have a major clog in the fuel line - and after the mechanic had to try numerous times to get it re-primed; they were able to start it and blow out all the black smoke and crap that was built up. Runs like a charm again after 50 bucks. I am grateful it wasn't worse! Thanks, though for responding!

I thought it wouldn't turn over so was the fuel line clogged or was it just flooded if u had to clear out all the black smoke then sounds like it was getting fuel u just flooded it.
