During intermittent setting (not matter the intermittent speed) the wipers will stop randomly and will not reset to park position after turned off. Regular speeds work ok. Have replaced the wiper motor twice, OEM first with salvage yard motor, then replaced salvage yard motor with Auto Mart refurbished - which worked okay for about 3 hours then same problem. Have replaced the column wiper switch as well. Saturn mechanic said it was probably the motor due to the fact that the intermittent circuitry is located in the motor. Would replacing motor with new OEM motor fix the problem? Any suggestions? I have a Chiltons manual and the wiper schematic shows intermittent leads coming from the control computer. Would the computer cause this? Thanks in advance.

I would warranty the wiper motor out for another one first. The mechanic is correct the intermitant circuit is part of the wiper motor. You may have just gotten a bad part it happens sometimes. So do that first and if problem comes back then we can run some test to see what may be happening. You will need a digital multi meter if the next motor does the same thing.
